Pick your own flowers in a pretty field on a farm near Tisbury

Flowers of Hatch is a spot of simple delight in the green rolling countryside between Shaftesbury and Tisbury. The Flower family have been farming in Hatch for years but now the cows are gone they have given one of the fields over to a simply charming pick-your-own flower scheme.

There are large banks of flowers – daisies, sweet peas, alliums, depending on the season, with grassy paths between – there is nothing too manicured or pretentious about this place and you never quite know what you’ll find there!  But this is its charm – help yourself to scissors and a bucket from the little shed, then wander around this heavenly field, picking flowers and admiring the view. Back at the shed you’ll find string and paper to tie a posy and can stick a fiver in the honesty box as you leave.
